The Patterns of Identity: Textiles in Aotearoa (POI) project is part of the New Zealand Design Archive (NZDA) at the School of Art and Design, Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
POI is an online textile image database and web site about textiles in New Zealand.

AUT provides free access and use of these visual and documentary resources as part of its educational commitment. Before accessing and browsing POI, you must agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this agreement and any future revisions.

Terms and Conditions
  1. The content of POI is made available for your personal, non-commercial use.
    You may download or copy the materials, but you may not modify, publish, transmit, distribute, re-post, adapt, or publicly perform or display the contents of POI.
    Access and use under this agreement is exclusively for your personal information, education, research and scholarship.
    Commercial use of the contents of POI is strictly prohibited.
    Any use of the contents of POI other than the uses expressly permitted under this agreement requires the written permission of individual copyright holders and the AUT.
  2. You should assume that everything that you see or read in the textile image database or web site is protected under copyright law and other applicable intellectual property and proprietary information laws.
    This is a virtual archive and the copyright for works is the property of individual designers, companies or institutions and is identified in relation to each item on POI.
    You also should be aware that the places and images in POI may be protected under trademark law, the laws of privacy and publicity, and other laws.
  3. The NZDA uses all reasonable efforts to ensure that it has permission to use the content in the textile image database or web site or that the materials are in the public domain.
    The NZDA also uses reasonable efforts to ensure that the content of POI is accurate. Notwithstanding, access and use of POI is provided to you on an 'as is' basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including, without limitation, warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
    The user hereby acknowledges that access and use of POI is at the user's sole risk.
  4. The NZDA may from time to time revise these terms and conditions by updating this page.
    You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current terms and conditions for access and use of POI.
